If you are just starting to develop a driver the easiest method is to go to BSquare and pay them their insane fee for buying into the SDIO program. If however you like money, and prefer not to give it to BSquare, Microsoft has a free stack that is available on WM 5. If you are developing a SDIO driver it probably also means you are developiing the hardware to go along with that driver. This means that you should be part of the SD association. Do you think I can't use the SDBus to discuss with it? To my knowledge you can't perform the initialization of the SD bus. That is done by the host controller which is built by the OEM. You can still issue those commands but if you do remember that the bus has already been initialized if you have an active handle. Read over the specs that came with your chip.

If you don't have them then get them from Arasan. CMD0 is an initialization command. The host controller initializes the SDIO card not the client driver. What I am saying is that issuing a CMD0 is kind of pointles unless you are writing a host controller which I don't think you want to write because you need to be an OEM to load it beacuse it's on the ROM.
