I connected the new drive and things were fine. The problem only arose when I changed the drive letters so that the new one had the drive letter of the old one. I have since rebooted so that I wouldn't recieve errors.

As my Win 7 is 32 bit, I did not get this problem and the install went flawlessly. I have it working, but the inegration with W7 still comes up short at present so I will keep trying.

Hi mcboise Sorry to hear you are having the problem as well. Have you tried the XP Mode download from Microsoft? I just need to get the display tweaked right for a relatively novice PC user as it can be very confusing to see both the guest and host OS on the screen together. Having said that I may experiment with Virtualbox as well. I looked at the PML again and I can't find a problem in the logs at the moment. Though I'm not much of an expert on APIs so it may not help.
Also at the moment I don't have time to write how to use it so I'll have to do that tomarrow. Open the Capture menu and select Process Filter. Click Add and click Ok. Start Creatacard. Open the File menu and click Save. Save the apm file somewhere and send it via email. I looked at the API Monitor capture file and couldn't figure out the problem with it. I'm now out of ideas for getting Creatacard to work on Windows Vista bit. This is not the prefered way to run older programs as it takes more processer power and memory and doesn't integrate as well into the host OS Windows Vista bit in this case but it's the only idea I have at the moment.
Thanks for your time and efforts jd You went above and beyond. Not sure how I will proceed. I'm no computer whiz. Reading your post listing "repackage it" gave me an idea. I only listed AppDeploy Repackager as it was a small free repackager. There are other repackaging programs out there you can try. Like InstallShield Premier includes a repackager though the program costs money.
It does appear from their site you can download a free 21 day trial of it. If that is a problem, I can look for other repackager programs. Don't know if it is possible, but is there some way I could install Creatacard on a flash drive from my old computer running XP?
Programs that from a flash drive should be contained to one folder. Sense Creatacard wouldn't run when the program folder and even other DLL files were copied over that means there is some other file or registry key that needs to be on the system drive.
Whatever that is, it would need to be installed on each system for it to run from a flash drive thus defeating the purpose. Back to the InstallShield Premier Repackager then. Hope my old computer boots up. It is pretty sad. I may do a System Recovery to restore the computer to its factory-shipped condition. That way I will have a fairly clean system on which to run the Repackager. I have the 32 bit version of Vista. I am also having problems installing CreataCard Gold 3 on to it.
When I click on setup. It will run for several minutes and then says "not responding". Some of you have indicated that you have loaded CreataCard on to 32 bit systems. Can you let me know how you did that? Or will we still not be able to due to the bit InstallShield installation program used by the CD?
Kirputer, assuming you have read the rest of the thread, Have you tried a running the setup program as administrator and possibly b running it from a command prompt elevated as administrator? The procedure for the latter would be to run cmd. I have loaded 16 bit programs onto Vista and the solution seems to differ for each one. Procedure seems to be getting each executable to be run as administrator, possibly with compatability mode set to a 9x system and a variety of the other features selected.
One program seemed to have problems installing until I clicked 'Run' instead of 'Install' at the splash screen, which brought up the installer. The Vista Compatability 'Wizard' is basically useless, you can get the same functionality with the compatability tab for that program's properties. I've tried everything imaginable and still can't get the bit CAC 3 program to install from the CD due to its bit InstallShield installation program.
I'm hoping that upgrading to Windows 7 bit, I will be able to run bit programs, unlike Vista bit. I haven't a clue if Windows 7 will be backward compatible with bit software, and have no idea who to ask. Just upgraded??? Tried to install CAC Gold 3 from original disk and it failed.
