Then, there was DJ Prodecks, but apparently it wasn't safe for my laptop since I wasn't able to download it. Finally, I found the software Mixxx. Mixxx is the perfect software for beginners at being a DJ. I'm not a DJ, but I wanted to try out a mashup. It was useful with the two decks so I could play two songs. I had to learn what the buttons did so I could figure out which one I needed and which one I didn't need. It was confusing since I didn't know anything about it.
However, I ended up only using 3 controls to save the trouble of messing up the mashup. Even with 3 controls, it was difficult. I had to get the timing right and play them at the right tempo and volume. Not only was the software hard to comprehend, so was the song selection. Now at first, I was trying out some of my favorite songs and putting them together.
However, they didn't really work out. Now that didn't work because the beats weren't even close to matching each other. So in the need of help, I asked my friend to give me 2 songs that would seem like a good mashup. Those, however, were not in the same tempo and they didn't work well either. I took out the lyrics from Thinking Out Loud and tried to take away the instrumental of Don't. I found out how to change the tempo so I made Don't go slower than usual. Fortunately, the mashup worked better than the other songs.
Although, it wasn't my type of taste. Then, I thought two songs would go together great. I had to choose the right timing to switch from one to the other.
